As if having cancer is not bad enough, you then have to suffer all the consequences and side effects that chemotherapy leaves you with. Including hair loss.

To those who love us this is a small price to pay for our health. However for some it is the final straw that breaks the camels back. In stead of the relief that the cancer is gone, you are constantly reminded of your illness each time you take a look in the mirror.

It is true what they say if you look good it helps you to feel better, so if your reflection is pleasing this may be helpful to aid a quicker recovery.

Before your chemotherapy treatment begins it is helpful to make an appointment to choose a wig or hair prosthesis. (please see section on wigs). It is also a good idea, if you have already started to lose your hair, to take a photograph of yourself (pre cancer), with you. As you will see from the wig section there is a vast selection available to you, depending on your requirements and the amount you wish to spend. Whichever you choose a wig or real hair prosthesis is the best option for your sensitive skin pre, during and shortly following chemotherapy.

They are not wearing wigs but a temporary type of hair replacement which is completely safe to the scalp and 100% does not hinder or inhibit the natural safe growth of their hair.

There is no guarantee of the longevity of this added hair however it can be between 4 and up to 14 weeks depending on your natural hair growth. Many clients may have this hair fitted two or three times before their own hair is a reasonable length to style.

The advantage of this type of added hair is that it is not a wig which you remove at night, or worry about falling off or wearing on holiday, It remains on until it’s time to be removed which becomes evident with wear, as discussed between 4-14 weeks.
